Dr. Isabelle Louis has been Deputy Regional Director at UN Environment since September 2014, and was Acting Regional Director in 2016. She coordinates the UN Environment’s Programme Initiatives in the Asia Pacific region pursuant to the organization’s mandate to support the UN Member States in the region on issues related to sustainable development and the environment, including climate change, environmental governance, resource efficiency, pollution, gender mainstreaming, SDGs implementation and ecosystems management.
